Activities + Resources
Do you know what angels are? Angels are God's special helpers! They have wings and they fly around to help people. God sends angels to watch over you!
There's a happy song about angels. It goes like this: "All day, all night, angels watching over me!" Can you say "angels"? Angels! Good job!
When baby Jesus was little, King Herod was mean. He wanted to hurt baby Jesus. But God sent an angel to help! The angel talked to Joseph in a dream. The angel said, "Take baby Jesus far away to keep him safe!" So Joseph took Mary and baby Jesus on a long trip. They went far away where baby Jesus would be safe.
The angel watched over baby Jesus. The angel kept baby Jesus safe! When it was okay to go home, the angel told Joseph, "You can go home now!" So they went home.
God loves baby Jesus so much! And guess what? God loves YOU too! God sends angels to watch over you, just like He watched over baby Jesus.
The Bible says God tells His angels to take care of you everywhere you go. If you fall down, the angels help you! The angels' job is to keep you safe.
Angels watch over you when you play. Angels watch over you when you sleep. Angels watch over you when you eat. Angels watch over you ALL the time!
Let's sing the happy song again: "All day, all night, angels watching over me!" Can you flap your arms like angel wings? Flap, flap, flap!
God loves you SO much! Thank you, God, for sending angels to watch over us! Amen.
