Good morning to you,
Good morning to you.
We're all in our places
with bright, shining faces.
Good morning to you,
Good morning to you.
What a fun song! Your faces are so bright and shiny today!
Today we learn about Jesus! Jesus went up, up, up on a big mountain. He took his friends Peter, James, and John. They went to pray to God.
Something amazing happened! Jesus' face started to shine! It was so bright and beautiful! His clothes became white like snow. Wow!
Two special men came to talk to Jesus. Their names were Moses and Elijah. They were God's helpers from long, long ago.
Peter and his friends were sleeping. When they woke up, they saw Jesus shining bright! They saw Moses and Elijah too! They were so surprised!
Peter said, "Jesus, this is wonderful! Let's stay here!" But then a big cloud came. God's voice came from the cloud! God said, "This is my Son Jesus. Listen to him."
When the cloud went away, Moses and Elijah were gone. Only Jesus was there with his friends.
Why did Jesus shine so bright? Because God was with him! God wants our faces to shine too! When we love Jesus, our faces can be happy and bright!
Look at your friends. Do you see their bright, shiny faces? When we have Jesus in our hearts, we shine like the sun!
Let's pray: Dear God, thank you for Jesus! Help our faces shine bright like Jesus! We love you! Amen.
