Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:13-14 (NIV)
Activities + Resources
Look! Water! (Hold up a cup of water.) Water is yummy! We drink water when we are thirsty. Water makes us feel good!
Jesus was walking on a very hot day. He was tired. He sat down by a well. A well has water in it. Jesus was thirsty!
A lady came to get water. Jesus said, "Can I have some water please?" The lady was surprised! She didn't know Jesus was special.
Jesus told the lady something amazing. He said, "I have special water. It's called living water. If you drink my living water, you will never be thirsty again!"
The lady wanted the special water! But she didn't understand. Jesus wasn't talking about water you drink with your mouth. Jesus was talking about believing in Him!
When we believe in Jesus, it's like drinking the best water ever! It makes our hearts happy! It makes us feel loved!
The lady got so excited! She ran to tell all her friends, "Come see Jesus! He is so special!" Many people came to meet Jesus. They believed in Him too!
Jesus gives us living water when we believe in Him. It makes our hearts happy and full of love!
Dear Jesus, Thank you for giving us your special living water. We love you! Amen.
