Katy made a list. She drew a line on paper. One side said "Soccer." One side said "Piano." She thought and thought. Soccer is fun with friends! Piano makes pretty music! Finally, Katy picked piano. She could still see her friends at school!
We make choices too! Big choices and little choices. Do we pick the red crayon or blue crayon? Do we play blocks or puzzles? Choices, choices everywhere!
The biggest choice is about Jesus! Do we want to follow Jesus? Jesus loves us so much! He wants to be our friend forever and ever!
Sometimes following Jesus is easy. Sometimes it's hard. Jesus said we need to think about it. If our friends are mean, do we still choose Jesus? If we have to move far away, do we still choose Jesus? Yes! We choose Jesus!
Jesus carried a big cross. He did it because He loves us SO much! When we follow Jesus, we carry our cross too. That means we love Jesus more than anything else!
Let's pray: Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us! Help us choose you every day! Amen.
