Summary of this sermon...

Here is a concise summary of the Sunday School content:In "My Best Friend," we learn about the ultimate friend, Jesus, who listens, gives, and loves unconditionally. He even took punishment for our sins, demonstrating the greatest love (John 15:13). We can accept Jesus as our Savior and friend by admitting our sin and asking for his salvation. This gospel message highlights the themes of friendship, sacrifice, and salvation, inviting children to experience Jesus' unwavering love and friendship.

How many of you have a best friend? What is your favorite thing about your friend? Today, I just have to tell you about my best friend!

My best friend listens to me when I talk, even if I go on forever and is never, ever too busy for me; but instead is always there for me.

My best friend gives me gifts, taught me how to love and even arranged for me to meet my husband that I have been married to for 25 years.

My best friend even helped me to raise my children and helped me to be a friend to others. And you know what else! My best friend even took the punishment that I deserved.

Do you want to see who my best friend is? (Show artist depiction of Jesus.) That’s right, Jesus gave his life for the punishment of my sins and when I accepted him as my Savior, he calls me his friend.

If you don’t have Jesus as your friend, admit your sin and ask him to be your Savior and friend today.
