Let's pretend about our friend Emma. Emma is here with us today! Hi Emma! We all know Emma, right? Emma likes to play. Emma likes snacks. Emma is our friend!

But what if I said Emma could make sick people all better? What if I said Emma had magic powers? You would say "No way! Emma is just like us!" Right? Emma can't do magic things. Emma is a regular kid like you!

That's what happened to Jesus! Jesus grew up in a town called Nazareth. The people there knew Jesus when he was little. They knew his mommy and daddy. They watched him play and grow up.

But then Jesus did amazing things! Jesus made sick people better! Jesus helped people who couldn't walk! Jesus did miracles!

The people in Jesus' town said "No way! That's just Jesus! We know him! He can't do special things!" They didn't believe Jesus was special. They were mean to Jesus. They told him to go away!

But Jesus WAS special! Jesus IS special! Jesus loves us! Jesus can do amazing things because Jesus is God's son!

Sometimes people don't believe in Jesus. But we can believe! We know Jesus is special! We know Jesus loves us!

Let's pray: Dear God, help us believe Jesus is special. Help us love Jesus. Thank you for Jesus! Amen.
