Do you know what a promise is? A promise is when you say you will do something. Maybe you promise to put your toys away. Maybe you promise to be kind to your brother or sister. Promises are important!

God makes promises too. And guess what? God always keeps his promises! Always, always, always! The Bible tells us God never lies. God never breaks his promises. God is good!

Jesus is God's special promise to us. Long, long ago, God promised to send someone very special. That someone was Jesus! Jesus came to help people. Jesus came to love people. Jesus came to make sad people happy.

One day, Jesus went to church. He read from a big book. The book said Jesus would help poor people. Jesus would help sick people. Jesus would help everyone! When Jesus finished reading, he said, "I am here to keep God's promise!"

Jesus was God's promise come true! God sent Jesus because he loves us so much. God keeps his promises. We can trust God!

Let's thank God together. Dear God, thank you for keeping your promises. Thank you for sending Jesus. Help us keep our promises too. Amen.
