When Fanny was a little baby, she got sick. She couldn't see with her eyes anymore. But Fanny was still happy! She still loved Jesus!
Fanny could write pretty songs about Jesus. She wrote lots and lots of songs! People still sing her songs in church today. Fanny used her gift to tell everyone about Jesus!
One day, a man asked Fanny to write a song very, very fast! She only had a little bit of time - like when Mommy says "hurry up, we need to go!" But Fanny did it! She wrote a beautiful song about Jesus!
When we are good at something - like singing, or drawing, or being kind - we can use it to show others about Jesus! Just like Fanny did!
In our Bible story, Jesus asked his friends to go tell other people about God's love. When they came back, they were so excited! "Jesus, we did it! We told everyone about you!" But Jesus said, "I'm happy you helped me. But the most important thing is that you love me and I love you!"
We can tell others about Jesus too! We can sing about Jesus! We can be kind like Jesus! We can share like Jesus! When we do good things, we say "Thank you, Jesus!" not "Look how good I am!"
Let's pray: Dear Jesus, help us tell others about you. Help us be kind and loving. Thank you for loving us so much! Amen
