Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Summary of this sermon...

God's Word is like a lamp that guides us in a dark world, showing us where to walk and where not to walk. Psalm 119:105 says, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." We can rely on God's Word for instructions and guidance, just like a flashlight helps us navigate in the dark. We should learn and use God's Word to guide our path.

The flashlight helps me to see where I am walking. It not only shows me where to put my feet, but it also shows me where not to put my feet.

(Recite Psalm 119:105.) Does anyone know what this verse means to us as Christians? God’s Word gives us instructions and shows us where to walk and where not to walk; just like the flashlight does for me in the dark. His Word guides us in the dark world.

Lord, thank you for your Word. Please help me to learn Your Word and to use it always as a lamp to guide my path. In Jesus' name, Amen.
