I'll Be Back! (Preschool Adaptation)

Do you know what moving means? Moving is when you pack up your toys and clothes and go live in a new house! Sometimes families have to move to a new place.

Today I want to tell you about a little boy named Andrew. Andrew's mommy and daddy had to move to a new house. But Andrew couldn't go right away. He had to stay with his friends for a little while.

Andrew felt sad. He missed his mommy and daddy! But his daddy said, "Don't worry, Andrew. We are going to make your new room really nice for you. We will get everything ready!"

Every day, Andrew's mommy and daddy called him on the phone. Ring ring! They told him about his new house. They said, "Andrew, you will love your new room! We can't wait for you to come home!"

Then one day, Andrew's mommy and daddy came back! They took Andrew to his beautiful new home. Andrew was so happy!

Did you know Jesus did something just like Andrew's mommy and daddy? Jesus went to heaven to get a special place ready for us! Heaven is like the most wonderful house ever!

Jesus said, "I'm going to make a beautiful home for you in heaven!" And guess what? Jesus didn't leave us all alone. He sent the Holy Spirit to take care of us, just like Andrew's friends took care of him.

We can talk to Jesus every day! We can pray to him just like Andrew talked to his mommy and daddy on the phone. Let's talk to Jesus right now!

Dear Jesus, thank you for making a special home for us in heaven! Thank you for taking care of us every day. We love you! Amen.
