Activities + Resources
Look at this pretty ring! (Show the ring.) Rings are special. Mommy and Daddy might have rings. Their rings mean they love each other very much!
We make promises. A promise is when we say we will do something. We promise to clean up our toys. We promise to be good. Sometimes we forget our promises. But God never forgets!
God made a promise to Noah. Noah had a big boat called an ark. God sent lots and lots of rain. The water covered everything! But Noah and his family were safe in the boat. The animals were safe too - the dogs, cats, birds, and elephants!
When the rain stopped, God made a promise to Noah. God said, "I will never flood the whole earth again." Then God put a beautiful rainbow in the sky! The rainbow has lots of colors - red, yellow, blue, green!
Let's make a rainbow! (Place the Skittles around the edge of the plate. Pour warm water in the center. Watch the pretty colors spread!) Look at all the colors! Just like God's rainbow!
Every time we see a rainbow, we remember God's promise. God always keeps His promises. God loves us so much! When you see a rainbow, remember God keeps His promises to you too!
Let's pray: Dear God, thank You for rainbows. Thank You for keeping Your promises. Help us be good. We love You! Amen.
