When you want something, you say "please." When someone gives you something, you say "thank you!" Let's practice! Can you say "please"? Can you say "thank you"? Good job!

Jesus had friends who were very sick. They had owies all over their skin. Ten friends were sick. They saw Jesus walking by. They called out, "Jesus, please help us!" They said "please" - that's good!

Jesus heard them. Jesus said, "Go see the priest." So all ten friends walked away. As they walked, something amazing happened! Their owies went away! Jesus made them all better! They were so happy!

All ten friends were jumping and dancing! They were so excited! But wait... only ONE friend came back to Jesus. He ran back to Jesus and said, "THANK YOU, Jesus!" He remembered to say thank you!

Jesus was happy that one friend said thank you. But Jesus was sad too. Where were the other nine friends? They forgot to say thank you. That made Jesus sad.

God gives us so many good things! He gives us food to eat. Yummy! He gives us clothes to wear. He gives us a home. He gives us people who love us. Should we say thank you to God? YES!

Let's practice our magic words right now! Let's say "Thank you, God!" Can you say it loud? "THANK YOU, GOD!" Let's remember to say thank you every day!

Dear God, thank you for everything! Thank you for food and home and love. Help us remember to say please and thank you. We love you! Amen.
