"Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." John 14:21 (NIV)
Do you have a pet at home? A doggy? A kitty? (Let children answer.) Pets are so fun! When we love our pets, we take care of them. We give them food. We give them water. We pet them gently. That's how we show love!

When you love your mommy and daddy, what do you do? You hug them! You help them! You listen when they talk to you. Love is not just words. Love is what we DO!
Do you love Jesus? Yes! How can we show Jesus we love Him? Jesus tells us how! When we obey Jesus and do good things, that shows we love Him!
Here are ways to show Jesus we love Him:
- Be kind to friends
- Say "Thank you, Jesus!"
- Tell friends about Jesus
- Talk to Jesus every day
- Listen to Bible stories
- Say "I'm sorry" when we do wrong things
Let's remember: We show love by what we DO! We can show Jesus love every day by being kind, saying thank you, and listening to Him!
Dear Jesus, we love You so much! Help us show our love by being kind and good every day. Thank You for loving us! Amen.
