Scripture

Luke 24:30-31

Let's play a fun game! Close your eyes tight like this. (Show them how to close eyes.)

Today we're going to hear about two men walking on a road. They were walking, walking, walking. And guess what? Someone very special was walking with them! But they didn't know who it was!

Keep your eyes closed. Can you guess who I am just by my voice? (Have one adult say "Hello!" in a silly voice.) Open your eyes! It was me!

The two men were walking and talking. Walking and talking. A nice man was with them, but they didn't know it was Jesus! Jesus was right there!

Close your eyes again. (Have another adult say "Hello!" in a different voice.) Who is that? Open your eyes and see!

Jesus told the men, "I had to die, but now I'm alive!" The men were so surprised! It was Jesus all along!

Sometimes we can't see Jesus, but He's always with us. He loves us so much!

Let's close our eyes for our prayer. Dear God, thank You that Jesus loves us. Thank You that Jesus is alive! Help us see Jesus everywhere. Open our eyes! (Everyone opens eyes.) We love Jesus! Amen.

Jesus is alive! Jesus loves you! Can you say "Jesus loves me"? Let's say it together: "Jesus loves me!"
