A Bride for Isaac (Preschool Adaptation)

Do you know Cinderella? She went to a big party! She was so pretty! (Have all the kids go "AHHHH.")

But then her pretty dress went away! She ran fast! Her shoe came off! (Have all the kids take off a shoe.) The Prince looked and looked for her. He found her! The shoe fit! (Have all the kids put their shoe back on.) They got married! Yay! (Invite all the kids to clap.)

Today we learn about Isaac and Rebekah! Say "Isaac!" Say "Rebekah!"

Isaac was a big boy. He needed a wife. His daddy Abraham said, "Go find Isaac a wife!" (Have all the kids say, "Go find a wife!")

The helper man took camels. Big camels! He walked and walked. He prayed to God, "Help me find the right girl!" (Invite kids to stomp their feet like walking.)

The helper man found water! He prayed, "God, send the right girl here. I will ask for water. If she gives water to me AND my camels, she's the one!" (Lead kids in making drinking sounds "glug glug glug.")

A nice girl came! The helper asked, "Can I have water?" She said, "Yes!" Then she said, "Your camels can have water too!" It was just what God wanted! (Have kids repeat "Hooray!")

The helper gave her pretty things! He went to her house. Her family was so happy! (Ask kids to make their biggest smile.)

They went to see Isaac. Rebekah saw Isaac. Isaac saw Rebekah. They loved each other! They got married! Isaac loved Rebekah so much! (Have kids all cheer "Yay!")

Dear God, Thank you for taking care of us. Help us trust you. In Jesus' name, amen.
