Jesus had a friend named Nicodemus. Nicodemus came to see Jesus at night time. He wanted to learn about God!
Do you know the story about the hungry caterpillar? The little caterpillar was so hungry! He ate and ate and ate! Then something amazing happened. The caterpillar made a house called a cocoon. He stayed inside for a long time.
Then guess what? Pop! Out came a beautiful butterfly! The caterpillar became something brand new!
Jesus told Nicodemus something special. Jesus said when we love Him, we become new too! Just like the caterpillar became a butterfly, Jesus makes us new inside our hearts!
When we ask Jesus to be our friend, He comes into our hearts. We become God's children! We are new! We are special!
The caterpillar was new - he became a butterfly! We are new too when Jesus is in our hearts!
Let's pray: Dear Jesus, thank you for making us new. Thank you for loving us. We love you too! Amen.
