Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? Do you like music? Music is fun! Let's pretend we want to learn piano!
To play piano, we need a piano! Pianos cost money. Do we still want to learn piano? Yes!
We need a teacher too! Teachers help us learn. Teachers cost money. Do we still want to learn piano? Yes!
We need music books! Books have pretty songs in them. Books cost money too. Do we still want to learn piano? Yes!
Now we practice! Practice means we play piano every day. Sometimes we practice when friends are playing outside. That's okay! Do we still want to learn piano? Yes!
Sometimes other kids might be silly and say mean things. But we keep learning anyway! Learning piano is good!
Jesus wants us to follow Him too! Following Jesus means we love Him every day. We pray to Jesus. We are kind to others. We share our toys.
Sometimes following Jesus is hard. But Jesus loves us so much! Following Jesus is the best thing ever!
Some grown-ups say they love Jesus, but then they forget. We want to remember Jesus every day!
Jesus loves you! Jesus loves me! Following Jesus makes us happy!
Let's pray! Dear Jesus, we love You! Help us follow You every day! We want to be good! Amen!

Wonderful! This was such a great lesson. The sermon and all of the activities really demonstrated the core message which is that the cost of discipleship is high and it's not easy. So good. I definitely recommend!
