Deny Your Selfie (Preschool Adaptation)

Look at these pretty marbles! See how shiny they are? Let’s play a fun game! We put the marbles in a circle. See the circle? Round and round! Now we try to roll our marble and push the other marbles out. Whoosh! Roll, roll, roll! Can you say "roll"? Roll!

Sometimes kids say "Are we playing for fun or for keeps?" If we play for fun, we give the marbles back when we’re done. If we play for keeps, we keep all the marbles. Keep, keep, keep!

Some grown-ups think having lots and lots of things makes them happy. Big houses! Fancy cars! Lots of money! But you know what? When they go to heaven, they can’t take any of those things with them. Nothing at all!

Jesus says something very special. He says if we love Him and follow Him, we get the best treasure ever! Not marbles or toys, but treasures in heaven! In heaven, we walk on golden streets - so sparkly! And we get to live with Jesus forever and ever and ever!

Dear God, help us love Jesus more than toys or things. We want to follow Jesus! In Jesus’ name, amen.
