If possible, bring a hymnal containing "Does Jesus Care?"

Escritura

As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don’t cry." Luke 7:12-13 (NIV)

Sometimes we feel sad. Sometimes we get hurt. Sometimes we don't feel good. But guess what? Jesus cares about you when you're sad. Jesus cares about you when you're hurt. Jesus cares about you ALL the time!

One day, Jesus was walking with his friends. They saw a mommy who was very, very sad. Her little boy had died and she was crying. When Jesus saw the sad mommy, he felt sad too. Jesus said, "Don't cry, mommy."

Then Jesus did something amazing! He touched the little boy and said, "Wake up!" And guess what happened? The little boy opened his eyes! He sat up! He started talking! The mommy was SO happy! Jesus gave her little boy back to her!

That shows us how much Jesus cares. When the mommy was sad, Jesus helped her. When you are sad, Jesus helps you too!

Jesus loves you when you're happy. *clap clap*

Jesus loves you when you're sad. *make sad face*

Jesus loves you when you're playing. *jump jump*

Jesus loves you ALL the time! *big hug*

Jesus loves you SO much that he wants to be your friend forever and ever. That's how much Jesus cares about you!

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us. Thank you for caring about us. We love you too! Amen.
