As they went on their way, they came to a town where a woman named Martha lived. She cared for Jesus in her home. Martha had a sister named Mary. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to all He said. Martha was working hard getting the supper ready. She came to Jesus and said, 'Do You see that my sister is not helping me? Tell her to help me.' Jesus said to her, 'Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. Only a few things are important, even just one. Mary has chosen the good thing. It will not be taken away from her.' Luke 10: 38-42 (NLV)

Do you like to look at pictures? Pictures are fun! When we take pictures, we need to look at the right thing. If we look the wrong way, our picture gets all mixed up!
Jesus had two friends named Mary and Martha. They were sisters! Jesus came to visit their house. Martha wanted to cook yummy food for Jesus. Cook, cook, cook! But Mary sat down next to Jesus. She listened to Jesus talk. Listen, listen, listen!
Martha got upset. "Mary! Come help me! Come help me cook!" But Jesus said, "Martha, you are worried about too many things. Mary is doing the right thing. She is listening to me."
Mary chose to sit with Jesus. That was the best choice! Jesus is the most important thing. Not cooking. Not cleaning. Jesus!
We can choose Jesus too! We can listen to Jesus. We can talk to Jesus. We can sing to Jesus. Jesus loves us so much!
Let's pray together. Dear Jesus, help us choose you every day. Help us listen to you. We love you, Jesus. Amen.
