Now, do you love Jesus? I'm sure you do. Do you think Jesus likes to hear you say, "I love you?" I know He does. But just like with your mom, He likes it even better when you show Him that you love Him through your actions. How do you do that? Jesus told us exactly how in John 14:23 when He said, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teachings."

But what does it really mean to obey Jesus' teachings? It's not just about following a bunch of rules. Jesus taught us to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves. He taught us to forgive people who hurt us, to be kind to those who are different from us, and to help people who are in need. He taught us to tell the truth, to be generous with what we have, and to treat others the way we want to be treated.

Think about your everyday life at school, at home, and with your friends. When someone is being picked on, do you stand up for them or just walk away? When you find money that someone dropped, do you try to return it or keep it? When your parents ask you to do something, do you do it with a good attitude or do you grumble and complain?
