Jesus Calls the Disciples (Preschool Adaptation)

Do you like fish? Fish swim in the water! Splash, splash!

One day, Jesus met some fishermen. Fishermen catch fish with big nets. The fishermen had been trying all night to catch fish. But they caught zero fish! No fish at all!

Jesus said, "Try again! Put your nets in the water one more time."

The fishermen said, "Okay, Jesus!" So they put their nets back in the water.

Guess what happened? SO MANY FISH! Lots and lots of fish! The nets were so full of fish they almost broke! The boat was so full of fish it almost sank!

The fishermen were so surprised! "Wow!" they said.

Jesus said, "Don't be scared. Now you can help me tell people about God's love!"

The fishermen left their boats and followed Jesus. They helped Jesus tell everyone about God's love.

Jesus wants us to tell people about God's love too! We can tell our friends, "Jesus loves you!" We can tell our family, "God loves you!" That's how we fish for people - by sharing God's love!

Dear Jesus, help us tell everyone about your love. Help us share your love with our friends and family. Amen.
