Jesus Gives Us the Comforter (Preschool Adaptation)

Set up the fan to move and blow over the children. Give each child a colorful streamer to hold. Let them wave it in the wind!

Today we learn about something special! Something we can't see, but it's here!

Pretend to feel the wind for the first time. Look surprised!

Do you feel that? What is it? (Point to the fan) The fan makes wind! Can you see the wind? No! But what do you see? Your streamers are moving! Your hair is moving! The wind is real!

We can't see wind, but we know it's there! Look! The streamers dance! Feel the cool air! Wind is invisible but real!

This is like someone special in the Bible! Jesus gave us a helper! Can you guess who? (Let them try) It's the Holy Spirit!

Just like wind, we can't see the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit is real! The Holy Spirit lives in our hearts when we love Jesus! The Holy Spirit helps us! The Holy Spirit loves us!

Wind moves streamers. The Holy Spirit helps our hearts! Both are invisible. Both are real!

Let's pray! God, we can't see You, but You're real! We can't see the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit is real too! Thank You for loving us! Thank You for helping us! We love Jesus! Amen!
