Look at my shoes! Show me your shoes! We all have shoes on our feet. Shoes keep our feet safe.
Sometimes we take our shoes off. We take them off at home. We take them off to show respect. Respect means someone is very special and important.
Today we will learn about Moses. God told Moses to take his shoes off! Let's take our shoes off too, just like Moses did!
Take off your shoes and show children the "bush" paper on the wall.
God talked to Moses from a burning bush. The bush was on fire but it didn't burn up! That's amazing! God said "Moses, take off your shoes. This ground is holy." Holy means very, very special to God.
Give each child a cut-out flame. Let them scribble or put stickers on their flame while you tell the story.
Moses saw the burning bush. He stopped and looked. God was talking to him! God had a big job for Moses. Moses was scared, but God said "I will help you."
Have kids stick their flames on the bush on the wall with your help.
The burning bush was special! It got Moses to listen to God. God talks to us too! We can listen to God.
Let's pray: God, thank You for talking to Moses. Thank You for talking to us too. Help us listen. Amen.
