Thanks Living (Preschool Adaptation)

When someone is nice to you, what do you say? You say "Thank you!" That's right! When Mommy gives you a hug, you say "Thank you!" When Daddy reads you a story, you say "Thank you!"

Sometimes we want to do more than just say "Thank you." We can draw a picture! We can give a hug! We can be nice back! When someone is nice to us, we can be nice to them too!

Do you know who is the nicest to us? God is! God gives us food to eat. Yummy food! God gives us water to drink. God helps us feel better when we're sick. God loves us so much!

Let's say "Thank you, God!" Can you say that? "Thank you, God!" God does so many good things for us. We want to say thank you in a big way!

Jesus tells us how! When we share our toys, it makes Jesus happy. When we help someone, it makes Jesus happy. When we give someone a hug, it makes Jesus happy. When we are kind, we are saying "Thank you" to God!

This is called "thanks living." That means we say thank you by being kind. We say thank you by sharing. We say thank you by helping. Can you help someone today? Can you share your toys? Can you give hugs?

Let's pray together: Dear God, thank you for loving us. Thank you for food and hugs and everything good. Help us be kind to others. Help us share and help. We love you, God. Amen.
