"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Luke 16:10 (NIV)

Susie went to the store with her mommy's money. The store person gave her too much money back by mistake. Should Susie keep the extra money? No! Susie should give it back. That's being honest!

James saw a dollar on the floor at school. Should he keep it? No! James should tell his teacher. That's being honest!

Hector found a bag with lots and lots of money! Should he keep it? No! Hector should tell a grown-up. That's being honest!

Being honest means telling the truth. Being honest means doing what's right. God wants us to be honest every day!

Jesus told a story about a man who took money that wasn't his. That was not honest. That made God sad.

Jesus said if we are honest with little things, we will be honest with big things too! If we tell the truth about small things, we will tell the truth about big things!

When we find something that's not ours, we give it back. When we tell the truth, God is happy. When we are honest, our friends can trust us. Being honest makes God smile!

Let's pray: Dear God, help us be honest every day. Help us tell the truth. Help us do what's right. Thank you for loving us. Amen.
