Look at this pretty box! What's inside? A present! Do you like presents? Yes! Presents are fun!
When someone gives you a present, you don't have to pay money. You don't have to do work. You just say "thank you" and take it. That's what makes it a present!
What's your favorite present? Maybe a teddy bear? Maybe a toy car? Maybe blocks? Presents are so fun!
Today I want to tell you about the BEST present ever. The very, very best present! Do you want to know what it is?
It's Jesus! God gave us Jesus! Jesus is God's special present to you and me. The Bible says God loves us so, so much. He loves you! He loves me! He loves everyone!
God sent Jesus to be our friend forever and ever. That means we can be with Jesus always. In our hearts right now, and in heaven someday. Forever and ever and ever!
This present cost God a lot. It cost him his special Son, Jesus. Jesus came to earth because he loves us so much. He loves you! He loves me!
How do we get this present? We just say "Yes, Jesus! I want you to be my friend!" That's it! Just like taking any present - we just say yes!
Jesus loves you so much. God loves you so much. What a wonderful present!
Thank you, God, for giving us Jesus. Thank you, Jesus, for loving us. We love you too! Amen.
