Let Your Light Shine (Preschool Adaptation)

Let's sing "This Little Light of Mine!" I have a light here. Watch! (Hold up light, but it doesn't work.) Oh no! My light won't shine! Can you help me?

(Someone might say it's not plugged in.) You're right! My light needs to be plugged in! (Plug it in, but cover the switch.) Let's try again! (Light still doesn't work.) It's still not working! What's wrong?

(Someone might notice the switch.) Oh! I need to turn it ON! (Turn on the light.) Yay! Now it shines bright!

Just like my light, we can shine too! But we need two things. First, we need to be connected to Jesus - like plugging in the light! Second, we need to turn on our love for Jesus - like turning on the switch!

When we love Jesus and talk to Him, we shine bright! When we come to church, we shine bright! When we are kind to friends, we shine bright! Jesus helps us shine!

Let's all hold up our hands and pretend they're lights! Now let's make them shine! (Wiggle fingers like twinkling lights.) Great job! You're shining for Jesus!

Dear Jesus, help us shine bright like lights! Help us love You every day! Amen!
