Several coins of various values from small to large and a bag of pennies to pass out to the children.

"They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on." (NIV)
Do you like to find things when you go for walks? Sometimes I find coins on the ground! A penny is small. A dollar is bigger. But you know what? Jesus thinks ALL people are special - no matter how much money they have!

Preschool object lessons are designed for 2-4 year olds. They provide a simplified version with shorter sentences, more repetition, basic vocabulary, and extra fun examples to engage littles.Jesus was sitting by the big church building called the temple. He watched people put money in a special box - like putting coins in a piggy bank! Rich people with lots of money put in big amounts. *Show big with your arms wide* Then a poor lady came. She only had two tiny coins. *Hold up two fingers* She put her tiny coins in the box.
Jesus told his friends, "Look! This lady gave the BEST gift of all!" Why? Because she gave everything she had. She loved God SO much! *Point to heart*
God doesn't care if you have lots of toys or just a few toys. God doesn't care if you have fancy clothes or simple clothes. God loves YOU! *Point to each child* You are special to Jesus!
When we give to God - maybe a toy to share, or a hug, or help clean up - God is happy! God looks at our hearts. *Point to heart* God sees when we love and share!
Remember: Jesus loves you just the way you are! You are special! Every person is special to Jesus!
Let's pray: Dear God, thank you for loving us! Help us love everyone too! Amen!
