Babies need names! When a mommy and daddy have a baby, they pick a special name.
Your name is special too! Let's say our names together. [Teacher can go around and say each child's name] Your name means something wonderful!
A long, long time ago, Mary was going to have a baby. But Mary didn't pick the baby's name. God picked it! God sent an angel - that's like a special helper from heaven. The angel said, "Mary, your baby's name is Jesus!"
Jesus! Can you say "Jesus"? Let's say it together: "JE-SUS!" Jesus is the best name ever. Jesus means God saves us. Jesus loves you so much!
At Christmas time, we remember baby Jesus. Jesus came to love us and save us. Jesus' name is very, very special.
Let's pray: Dear God, thank You for baby Jesus. Thank You that Jesus loves us. We love Jesus! Amen.
