Activities + Resources
Do you like puzzles? A riddle is like a fun puzzle with words! Let me ask you a silly question: "Why did the chicken cross the road?" The answer is "To get to the other side!" That's funny, right?
Here's another one: "What has holes but can hold water?" A sponge! (Show them a sponge if you have one!) See all the holes? But it still holds water!
Jesus knew about riddles too! One day, some people came to Jesus. They didn't believe that people go to heaven when they die. That made them very sad.
These sad people asked Jesus a tricky question about heaven. They wanted to trick Jesus! But Jesus is very smart. Jesus always knows the right answer.
Jesus told them: "In heaven, everything is different. In heaven, people live forever with God. Heaven is a happy place!"
The people couldn't trick Jesus because Jesus always tells the truth. Jesus knows all about heaven!
Do you know what? Jesus loves you SO much! If you love Jesus, you will go to heaven someday. Heaven is the most wonderful place ever! You will be so happy there with Jesus!
The sad people didn't believe in heaven. But we do! We believe Jesus! Heaven is real and it's amazing!
Let's pray: Dear Jesus, thank you for loving us. Thank you that heaven is real. Thank you that we can live with you forever in heaven! Amen.
