Activities + Resources
Do you know what being scared means? Sometimes we feel scared! Maybe you're scared of loud noises. BOOM! That's thunder! Maybe you're scared of the dark. Or maybe you're scared of big dogs. It's okay to feel scared sometimes.
Do you know that even grown-ups get scared? Yes! Even big people get scared! Some grown-ups are scared of flying in airplanes. Zoom! Some grown-ups are scared of clowns with big red noses. Some grown-ups are scared of tiny bugs. Buzz buzz! Even big, strong people get scared sometimes.
One day, Jesus was talking to his friends. Jesus told them about some scary things that might happen. His friends might have felt scared. But Jesus said something very important. Jesus said, "Don't be afraid! I will be with you!"
Jesus says the same thing to us! When we feel scared, Jesus is right there with us. He loves us so much! Jesus wants to help us when we're scared. We can talk to Jesus when we feel scared. We can say, "Jesus, I'm scared. Please help me." And Jesus will help us!
Remember, it's okay to feel scared sometimes. But Jesus is always with us! He loves us and wants to help us. We don't have to be scared because Jesus is our friend!
Let's pray together: Dear Jesus, thank you for being with us when we feel scared. Help us remember that you love us. Amen.
