A mustard seed, if you can find one.
Escritura
The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you. Luke 17:5-6 (NIV)
When we come to church, we hear a lot of talk about faith. We read about faith in the Bible and we sing songs about faith, but what exactly is faith? Faith means believing something is true even when we can't see proof with our eyes. It's like believing your parents love you even when they're not in the room, or trusting that the sun will rise tomorrow even though you're sleeping when it happens.

Let me tell you a story that shows what real faith looks like. One day, a little girl got lost in the woods on a farm near where she lived. The woods were getting dark, and she could have been really scared. But instead of panicking, she did something amazing.
The farmer who owned the land found the little girl sitting calmly under a tree. He said to her, "Don't be afraid; I'll take you home."
The little child looked up at him with a big smile and said, "I'm not afraid at all! I knew someone would come. I was waiting for you."
"Waiting for me?" said the man, surprised. "What made you think I was coming? How did you know someone would find you?"
"I was praying that God would send help," she said confidently.
The farmer was curious. "You were praying? But when I first heard you from far away, you were just saying 'A B C D E F G.' What was that about?"
She looked up again and explained, "Well, I wasn't sure exactly what words to say in my prayer, so I decided to pray all the letters of the alphabet and let God put them together however He wanted them. I figured God knew I was lost, and He definitely knows how to put letters together to make the right words way better than I do!"
Think about this girl's faith. Even though she couldn't see God standing right there with her, she had complete faith that He loved her and cared about what happened to her. She believed that if she asked Him for help, He would answer her prayer. And guess what? He did!
Now here's an important question: How much faith do we need to have? Do we need to have enormous, mountain-sized faith, or will just a tiny bit work? Jesus' answer might really surprise you.
One day, Jesus' disciples came to him feeling frustrated. They said, "Lord, give us more faith! We need bigger, stronger faith!"
But Jesus told them something incredible: "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."
Do you know how tiny a mustard seed is? It's smaller than the tip of your pencil eraser! You can barely see it, and you could lose it if you sneezed. Yet Jesus said that's all the faith we need to do impossible things.
Here's the amazing truth: When we have faith in God, it's not about how big or strong our faith is. What matters is how big and powerful our God is! It's like the difference between having a small key that opens a huge treasure chest, versus having a big key that doesn't fit any lock. The size of the key doesn't matter if it's the right key for an amazing treasure!
Think about it this way: When you flip a light switch, you don't have to be super strong or use tremendous effort. You just have to make that small connection, and the power from the electrical plant does all the work. That's how faith works with God's power.
So when you're facing something that seems impossible - like a really hard test, a friendship problem, or worry about your family - remember that you don't need perfect faith or giant faith. You just need to trust God with whatever faith you have, even if it feels small. God can do incredible things through even the smallest amount of real faith.
Let's pray together: Father, thank You that we don't have to have perfect faith or huge faith to see You work in our lives. Help us to use whatever faith we have, even when it feels small, and trust You to do amazing things. Help us remember that You are big enough to handle any problem we face. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Think About It: Can you think of a time when you had to have faith in something you couldn't see? Maybe trusting that your parents would pick you up from school, or believing a friend would keep a promise? How is having faith in God similar to those experiences, and how is it different?
